Founded in 1970, Paris SG is about half a century old making it one of the youngest club in France. Though young, PSG is a force to reckon with when it comes to club football. 

For the last 10 years,PSG have had quite a notable times.In 2000s, Paris saint Germain went through a very tough financial period. 

In 2011, PSG received a very good financial backing after the club was bought by the Arabs/Qatar royal family making psg the club richest in France.

Since then, PSG has bugged 7 ligue 1 titles and on top of that, PSG has been on uefa champions league final loosing to Bayern Munich.

 By far, PSG is the only team in ligue 1 with the most consecutive wins. 

In French ligue 1 teams rivalry, PSG and Marseille takes the day as the French football gladiators. These teams contest in the most notorious football event known as le classique.

In 2020, PSG came on top of ligue 1 championship totalling their overall wins to 9. 

Since the clubs new ownership in 2012, PSG acquired some of the worlds best footballers the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic,Thiago Silva,Edison cavani,kylian mbappe,neymar and thus propelling the club higher to almost winning the uefa champions league which is the highest rated football championship globally after the world cup.

Rated as the richest club in France, PSG has an annual revenue of €540m making it the world's 11th most valuable football club.

According to Forbes, Paris Saint Germain has a net worth of 1.1 billion dollars.

Currently, PSG play their home matches at parc  des  princes stadium in Paris. With a capacity of 42,000 people, parc des  princes is also the clubs home ground.

Through the new leadership of Coach Mauricio pochettino  starting 2021 Paris SG went ahead to win at Camp Nou  stadium in Spain beating fc Barcelona 4-1 in the Uefa champions league round the of 16 first leg. 

Still eyeing on the uefa  champions league title, PSG is is among the standings teams awaiting.
