Olympique de Marseille also known as OM a.k.a Marseille is a French based Division 1 team that was started in1899 by Rene Dafaure de montmirail.
Based in the city of Marseille France, OM has been one of the best teams in French football premier league one.
Recorded as the first and the only French team to ever win the UEFA champions league in 1993 beating Ac Milan 1-0. In the 2010 French premier league championship, Marseille won their first ever France ligue 1 title after 18 years under coach Didier Deschamps who was also the clubs former captain.
In 2019-2020 French Ligue 1 season, Marseille emerged 2nd out of 20 teams after being defeated by Paris Saint Germain (PSG) who are the present ligue 1 defending champions for the 9th time.
In 2015, Marseille was ranked 23rd in the world in terms of revenue generation which amounted to €131 million.
With one of the greatest football player of all times Didier Drogba playing for Marseille in 2003-2004 season, OM went on top of the board impressively beating Liverpool,internazionale,Dnipro and the Newcastle united before their dream was shut down by Valencia in the uefa cup final forcing them to continue waiting for the next trophy in line.
